Welcome! I’m Amber Alazzawi, MS, CCC-SLP, LSLS cert. AVT, a speech-language pathologist providing in-home and virtual therapy. I have 10+ years of experience providing quality, individualized and evidence based speech therapy services to address a variety of speech-language disorders. I am a certified Auditory-Verbal therapist/ Listening and Spoken Language Specialist (LSLS cert. AVT) and specialize in assessment and treatment for those with hearing loss & cochlear implants supporting listening and speaking communication skills.

If your child already receives speech services at school, why would you get additional speech therapy?
Although school based speech therapy services are beneficial, they are conducted during school hours and may be limited to 1-2 times a week in group settings. Seeking private speech therapy provides 1:1 sessions, with the option for additional treatment time for more rapid progress towards the goal. Some students receiving school based services are exited based on the educational impact of being removed from the classroom, standardized scores or intelligibility, although they would still benefit from more time and practice to remediate their skills.
